Danyliw 2018 Seminar

Proposal Deadline: 28 June 2018
The 2018 Danyliw Research Seminar on Contemporary will be held on 8-10 November. The Seminar is welcoming proposals for research papers, as well as for new books or documentaries. The proposal deadline is 21 June 2018. The Seminar will cover travel and accommodation of the invited international participants.

Kule Scholarship
on Ukraine
Application Deadline: 1 February 2024
The Chair is announcing a new competition of the Drs. Peter and Doris Kule Doctoral Scholarships on Contemporary Ukraine. It is open to Canadian and international students and covers four years of doctoral studies, with all tuition waived, in political science, sociology, anthropology or other fields related to the Chair research mission.

The Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Ottawa cordially present The Kerch Strait Attack and the Russia-Ukraine War by the Hon. Andriy Shevchenko. In the Q&A, Ambassador Shevchenko will address other pressing questions, including the granting of autocephaly to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the 2019 presidential election.

Dominique Arel is Academic Director of the ASN World Convention, held at Columbia University, NY, with 700+ international participants on Ukraine and eight other regional and thematic fields. Chair students Natalia Stepaniuk, Klavdia Tatar, Quentin Corbel and Robert Lummack were on the 2018 program.
